CEU Photo ClubThe CEU Photo club aims to be a forum for discussion and creation for contemporary photography. The main objective is to create a stable group of people interested in contemporary photographic practices, to explore the medium together and to carry out projects. The group is open to everyone. There will be weekly sessions in which we can discuss the role of photography in society and its value in creating narratives, recording history and making art. No technical knowledge or skills are required to join the club. What you will need are commitment and a desire to carry out a photographic project. More information |
PotteryThis is the perfect club for creative people interested in the world of ceramics and craftwork. No prior experience is needed. We want to create a CEU community, full of people who, on the one hand, are enthusiastic about ceramics and who, on the other, want to switch off from day-to-day concerns. Ceramics can be therapeutic, enabling you to create something through patience. The club will explore ceramics techniques such as modelling, coils, and pinching. You’ll then be able to produce items for everyday use or decorative objects. More information |
Cooking tipsThe aim of the club is to introduce and educate students regarding the value of certain ingredients which are typical of our region’s and our country’s cuisine. In this way, they will be able to explore different ways of working with and using these ingredients. LiteratureThe literature club consists of a space that seeks to bring together lovers of reading, with the aim of sharing opinions and creating a community enriched by literature, in addition to improving the language, as it is a bilingual club. Ethology ClubThe members of the Ethology Club are students with an interest in animal behaviour. The members’ main activity is as to act as volunteers at the animal and plant protection association, the Sociedad Valenciana Protectora de Animales y Plantas. The club members assist with the dogs the association shelters. The club also aims to provide ongoing training to club members in ethology, which will enable them to provide better assistance to the dogs at the shelter and which will also enhance their general veterinary skills. Exotic and Wild MedicineThis is all about the curiosity of a group of students and their desire to learn more about zoological medicine, especially for exotic and wild animals, both in captivity and in the wild. The aim of the club is both to work on projects directly related to exotic and wild animals and on conservation, and also to help students develop transferable skills and to integrate all members into a truly international environment. Veterinary surgeryCIRUVET has been set up by a group of Veterinary Medicine students with the aim of broadening their surgical knowledge through hands-on experience. Theoretical activities are also carried out which are open to all students. The practical sessions focus on a particular issue to enable club members to hone their skills and improve their specific knowledge: this may range from the handling and use of surgical materials to the performance of different types of surgery within a particular area. Model of United NationsAt MUN, students can represent their own country as they take part in a simulation of debates on a given issue by a United Nations committee. Issues for debate include international security, the environment, education, health, and economics. Members take part in debates and have to negotiate an agreement as the foreign policy representative of their country.
